Diane Keaton to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Zurich Film Festival

Diane Keaton will receive the Golden Icon award at this year’s Zurich Film Festival for her career achievements.

Most associated with her Oscar-winning role as the title character in Annie Hall, Keaton launched her film career as Michael Corleone’s wife in The Godfather trilogy. After her collaborations with Woody Allen (including Play It Again, Sam in 1972 and Sleeper in 1973), she established herself as a versatile performer in films like Looking for Mr. Goodbar (1977), The First Wives Club (1996), and Something’s Gotta Give (2003).

The festival will screen Keaton’s latest project, the silver-haired rom com And So It Goes, in which the actress also sings a few jazz standards in a lovely, fragile warble. Keaton plays a widow who slowly falls in love with Michael Douglas’ nasty real-estate agent.

This year’s ZFF will run from September 25 to October 5.
