Fox Snags Legal Dramedy from “Guilt” Creators Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard

Price and Millard: Freeform

“Guilt” creators Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard have scored a script commitment plus penalty from Fox for their new project, “One Call That’s All.” Deadline writes that the network secured the legal dramedy “in a competitive situation.”

Inspired by the South’s most successful accident attorney, Ken Nugent, the project is “described as part legal show, part family dramedy,” and “revolves around a larger-than-life personal-injury attorney in Atlanta” and his huge family, all of whom work for him — including his ex-wife.

“One Call That’s All” is written and executive produced by Price and Millard, who have an overall deal with Lionsgate TV.

“When we met Ken Nugent and his larger-than-life family in Atlanta, Georgia, we knew we’d hit TV gold,” said Price and Millard. “We love quirky legal shows and big, fun family dramedies, and the Nugents’ personal-injury firm gives us both in one outrageous package.”

“Guilt” debuted on Freeform in 2016 and ran for one season before being cancelled. The mystery drama centered on a London-based American student who is accused of murder when her roommate is found dead.

Price and Millard co-wrote Dwayne Johnson-starrer “The Game Plan” and “Fallen,” a fantasy about a teen girl who falls in love with an angel.
