First Lady Michelle Obama continues to delight and inspire. Obama recently appeared in “Carpool Karaoke” alongside “The Late Late Show” host James Corden, and the former Associate Dean of Student Services at the University of Chicago opted to sing for a cause. She performed a rendition of “This Is For My Girls.”

Earlier this year Obama assembled a dream team to record the powerful anthem. The song includes contributions from Missy Elliott, Janelle Monáe, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Rowland, Zendaya, and Lea Michele, and was penned by Grammy winner Diane Warren, who co-wrote Lady Gaga’s Oscar-nominated tribute to sexual assault survivors “Til it Happens to You.”

“This Is For My Girls” was inspired by Let Girls Learn, a U.S. government initiative devoted to securing education for girls worldwide. More than 62 million girls across the globe are not in school. AOL MAKERS executive produced the song, which is available on iTunes. 100 percent of the proceeds from “This Is For My Girls” go towards the Let Girls Learn Fund.

Obama isn’t featured on “This Is For My Girls,” but she did offer her take on the song in “Carpool Karaoke.” She performed other songs in the segment as well: Stevie Wonder’s “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours,” Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” and Missy Elliott’s “Get Ur Freak On.” Obama also discussed what she’s going to miss most about serving as First Lady, why she joined Snapchat, and the value of education.
