Listen: Podcast with “Our Kind of Traitor” Director Susanna White

“Our Kind of Traitor: hoto by Jaap Buitendijk/ StudioCanal

Women and Hollywood recently spoke with British director Susanna White about “Our Kind of Traitor,” her upcoming spy thriller starring Ewan McGregor, Naomie Harris (“Spectre”), Stellan Skarsgård, and Damian Lewis (“Homeland”).

White, who spent over a decade making documentaries for BBC2, shared insight into making the leap from TV to film, the changes she brought to the script, which is an adaptation of a John Le Carré novel, and her thoughts on where we are in the fight for gender equality for women directors.

The Emmy nominee’s credits include “Bleak House,” “Jane Eyre,” “Generation Kill,” “Boardwalk Empire,” and “Masters of Sex.”

Listen on iTunes or below via SoundCloud. “Our Kind of Traitor” opens July 1.
