Melora Hardin To Star in Freeform Pilot “Issues”

Melora Hardin on “Transparent”: Amazon

Melora Hardin, who played Tammy Cashman on “Transparent,” is now set for the Freeform pilot “Issues,” Deadline reports.

The pilot, created by Sarah Watson (“Parenthood”), “was inspired by the life of Joanna Coles, editor in chief of Cosmopolitan magazine. It follows three young career women, who have set out to conquer New York City together. All three work at Scarlet magazine, and they try to balance their ambition and their drive with the realities of life, and to find love.”

Hardin will play Jaqueline, the “quietly tough and confident Editor in Chief of Scarlet Magazine who can intimidate without saying a word, but she also has a strong nurturing side, and encourages Jane to find her voice as a writer.”

Watson will executive produce with Coles, David Bernad, and Ruben Fleischer (“Superstore”). Holly Whidden is a co-executive producer.

Hardin was recently nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role on “Transparent.” She’s also an alum of “The Office” and “Monk.”
