Mj Rodriguez took home a major honor at GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics’ Dorians TV Awards. Hot off her historic Emmy nomination for “Pose,” the actress received the GALECA LGBTQIA+ Trailblazer Award for “creating art that inspires empathy, truth, and equity,” per Deadline. The former was named Best TV Movie or Miniseries and the latter snagged the award for Best TV Comedy. “I May Destroy You’s” creator, writer, and star, Michaela Coel, tied for Best TV Performance with “Hacks'” Jean Smart. Coel also tied with “SNL’s” Bowen Yang for the Wilde Wit Award, given to a “performer, writer, or commentator whose observations both challenge and amuse.”
