Trailer Watch: Rebecca’s on the Warpath in Season 3 of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”

“Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”

Rebecca Bunch has never been one for subtlety, and it looks like Season 3 of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” will see its anti-heroine really embrace the “crazy” part of her moniker like never before. “I know. My hair is dark so I look evil and I’m wearing white which is ironic,” says Rebecca (Rachel Bloom) in a new trailer. Her darker hair color isn’t all that’s new — she announces that she has “a plan to destroy Josh Chan” (Vincent Rodriguez III).

The show’s second season concluded with Josh leaving Rebecca at the altar. Just when it seemed like Rebecca might have a conventional, fairy tale happy ending — marrying the guy she moved from New York City to West Covina, California to be with — the musical dramedy defied expectations yet again and revealed bombshells about Rebecca’s past and saw Josh joining the priesthood.

A voiceover in the spot explains that Season 3 of the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series isn’t “about romance. It’s all about revenge.”

“Love has not been kind to her,” says Rebecca’s BFF Paula (Donna Lynne Champlin). And it’s clear that Rebecca isn’t going to be kind to her former paramour.

“If you thought this show was going to be ‘Funny Fatal Attraction,’ that’s what we’re going into this season,” Bloom has said of the critically acclaimed show’s third installment.

Created by Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” returns to The CW October 13.

Check out the trailer to see who Rebecca enlists in her plan to take down Josh.
